Missoula Children's Theater will be held at Bataan Hall this year. Auditions for “Rumpelstiltskin”are Monday, July 7 at 9 a.m. Performances are Saturday, July 12 at 3 and 7 p.m.

Nominate A Treasure Today!
The Taos Living Treasures program, created to recognize the contributions of our senior citizens, honors selected honorees nominated by community members.
Living Treasures follows a simple selection process.
Area residents write letters of nomination for a person deemed worthy of special honors for a lifetime of volunteer service. A panel of judges selects five honorees
from Taos County and Penasco region.
The program, co-sponsored by the Taos Center for the Arts and the Town of Taos, features a special public tribute, free to the public.
This year’s festivities at Bataan Hall on Sunday, August 12 at 1pm, pays special homage to the honorees. The agenda includes speeches, entertainment and presentation of an award by the Mayor.
The Friendship Dance and a reception round out the schedule.
Letters of nomination will be accepted until Friday, July 11.

Taos Center for the Arts (TCA) presents its annual QUICK DRAW on Sunday, September 28, from 12 to 6 p.m. at the historic TCA Stables Gallery Courtyard. This free event is open to everyone. This unique and exciting event allows you to watch and interact with artists as they work live.
Kicki ng off at high noon, the artists put their creative processes on display. Watch, ask questions and study technique as these do what they do best. On completion, all works are assembled into an exciting "preview show" beneath the outdoor tents. All pieces created that day are then auctioned at 3 p.m.
QUICK DRAW also sports great food, drink, and live music for a fun and festive time the whole family can enjoy. It is inspiring and educational for artists and art lovers young and old to get together to experience a day of art. The outdoor atmosphere of the historic Manby House grounds, under the glowing Taos sunshine, makes the energy level high as one strolls among the artists working on their latest masterpieces.
Participating artists include Ed Sandoval (pictured above), Thom Wheeler, Valerie Graves, Alyce Frank, Pat Woodall, Shelbee Mares, members of the Taos National Society of Watercolorists, plus 30 other Northern New Mexico artists who make the event a rare and memorable occasion.
QUICK DRAW is a great opportunity to own original artwork and support the Taos Center for the Arts, one of the oldest non-profit organizations in New Mexico. Save the date, September 28 at high noon. Spend a brilliant Sunday afternoon watching fine art being created at the TCA!

Dear TCA,
We want to thank you for the excellent shows "Jemima Puddle Duck and other Stories" and the Madcap Variety Show. Our students enjoyed the shows very much. Thank you for offering these programs for school age chlidren in the Taos area. It is wonderful that you are able to bring such excellent performances to the area and enhance the arts programs in the schools.
We look forward to the next shows the TCA wll be offering.
